Lexington boasts the Kentucky Horse Park.The bourbon distilleries are too numerous to mention, but my favorites are Woodford Reserve in beautiful bluegrass horse country and Maker's Mark. Please note that you are also in antiques country. Shelbyville (also home to Bulleit Distillery)and Midway Kentucky both have fun places to eat and shop for antiques, history abounds here also.

Summary: The location was perfect for the Bourban Trail; we made it to 5 distilleries in 2 days! Beds were comfy, hot tub is great and it was very clean. We appreciated the extra blankets, pillows and soft sheets. The area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to the lake. We only wished for a few more kitchen utensils and dishcloths and towels. We did a bit of cooking and all like to tidy up. Overall we would all stay here again but for much longer.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay with our grandchildren and children, with each family having their own bedroom and bathroom. We enjoyed the pool and hitting and rented a pontoon at the marina. We had almost everything we needed at the cottage. We would definitely recommend this unit and stay here again. own room and bathroom

Summary: Loved the location. Clean, comfortable property. Bedroom connected to bathroom needs to have warm water adjusted as would not get hot in shower. No problem in other bathrooms. Overall a nice place to stay.
